Marcia Michael was not born a Texan but got here as quick as she could. After graduating
from the University of Missouri, she taught school in New South Wales for almost three years
under a Labor government in Australia, consequently she was cured of Liberalism and returned
to the States as a stanch Reaganite living in San Antonio.
For the past few decades, she has had leadership/management roles in operations and human
resources with corporations such as H-E-B (15 years) and AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals (7
years). Additionally she had graduate work in Economics (St Mary’s University) and a M.S. in
HR/OD (Abilene Christian University.)
After a handful of corporate relocations in Texas, Marcia established permanent roots in China
Spring in 1997. Marcia married Geoffrey Michael in 1998 and they built a home on the Brazos
River. Country living, horses, great food and friends were their focus. Currently semi-retired,
Marcia is the Owner of her late husband’s small business, Chef Geoffrey Michael Products.
Marcia held board positions in the Austin/San Antonio communities while working for H-E-B,
but extensive business travel prohibited greater community involvement locally until around
2008. Dissatisfaction with the Obama administration ignited in Marcia a drive to support
Christian and conversative values, interests, and candidates.
A member of Oak Grove Baptist Church (celebrating 150 years), one of Marcia’s objectives has
been to return God to schools, community, government, and institutions. A regular donor to
Ratio Christi, she provides support to legislative initiatives and groups promoting religious
freedom such as Patriot Academy, Students Standing Strong, First Liberty Institute and more.
A member of Cross Country Water Supply Corporation for over 25 years, Marcia served on the
Board of Directors for over a decade (president for 3 of those years) and resigned in 2024 to
devote more time to her seasonings business and serving the community.
Involved in the Republican Party, Marcia was a delegate at the Texas GOP Convention in 2018,
2022 and 2024. She is currently the Precinct 81 Chair and serves as an Election Judge in China
Spring. A member and sponsor of the McLennan County Republican Club, Marcia is new to
the Board. She has done much volunteer work for the local Party, and until this year some
volunteer work with MCRW. Looking back she had involvement with national and state
campaigns including Abbot University training and similar endeavors. Currently she is involved
with volunteering for local candidates and championing the MAGA movement.
